Prayer Fellowship

Men's Fellowship Breakfast

For over 20 years, we have been meeting on Wednesday mornings year-round in the church library. We meet at 7:30 a.m. for juice, coffee, goodies, and fellowship. We discuss a wide range of topics and are finished by 8:30 a.m. We have a membership of 12. Come join us.

Through dues and donations, we contribute to purchasing coffee, donating to America for Christ (an American Baptist annual drive), Teddy Bear Sunday for Sandra's Lodge, Heifer International and Christmas staff gifts.

Women's Prayer Fellowship

The Women’s Prayer Fellowship meets on Wednesday mornings in our church library from 10 - 11 a.m. There is a core group of 10 to 12 women who are faithful in attending weekly. Other women are always welcome and encouraged to join this special group. There is an open invitation to anyone who would like to join.

Donations are  given to purchase cards and yarn, to Heifer International, Juvenile Diabetes, Community Without Borders, Cystic Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy, and Grotonwood for camp scholarships.

Prayer Telephone Chain

If a special prayer concern occurs when the group is not gathered, the telephone prayer chain is set in motion.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Over 40 shawls have now been knitted and given to anyone carrying a heavy burden, suffering an illness or a loss. They are made with love by the women of this group and other friends.
Before the shawl is given away it receives a special blessing from this group.

Prayer of Blessing for the Shawl

May god’s grace be upon this shawl...
warming, comforting, enfolding and embracing,
May this mantle be a safe haven...a sacred place of security and
well-being ... sustaining and embracing in good times as well as difficult ones.
May the one who receives this shawl be cradled in hope, kept in joy,
graced with peace, and wrapped in love.
Blessed Be!
